    Position Overview
We are seeking a sharp, assertive, and technically sound Financial Controller to take command of our financial reporting, statutory compliance, manufacturing cost accounting, and international subsidiary governance.

Based at our corporate Headquarters in KL City Centre, you will lead a large finance and accounting team while serving as the primary financial authority across our manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for enforcing aggressive manufacturing cost controls—auditing chemical consumption, raw materials, compounds, finished goods, and engineering spare parts—with occasional site meetings at our primary manufacturing plant in Bentong, Pahang. Additionally, you will monitor the financial and operational performance of our overseas operations and subsidiaries, with a primary focus on mainland China.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Manufacturing Cost Accounting & Plant Floor Controls
    - Production Cost Auditing: Implement rigorous standard costing, variance analysis, and operational cost accounting for heavy continuous latex processing.
    - Chemical & Material Consumption Tracking: Scrutinize real-time consumption rates of latex and chemical inputs against standard formulations to eliminate operational leakage and yield losses.
    - End-to-End Inventory Control: Enforce monthly stock counts, inventory reconciliation, and inventory valuation for:
    - Raw materials (field latex, concentrated latex DRC 60%, industrial chemicals).
    - Compounds, chemical dispersions, and intermediate maturation batches.
    - Finished goods (natural latex rubber thread inventory across all counts/gauges).
    - Plant engineering spare parts, plant consumables, and mechanical maintenance tooling.
    - Fixed Asset Management: Maintain direct oversight of fixed asset capitalization, physical tracking, tagging, depreciation schedules, and CAPEX expenditure across plant operations and HQ.
    - Factory Ground Audits: Conduct periodic on-site visits and management meetings at the manufacturing facility in Bentong to align operational metrics directly with shop-floor execution.

    2. Financial Reporting, Tax & Operational Accounting
    - Group Financial Closures: Direct the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring group financial statements are prepared strictly in accordance with MFRS/IFRS standards.
    - Management Reporting & Executive Visibility: Prepare high-level management accounts, budget-versus-actual variance reports, rolling cash-flow forecasts, and operational margin analyses directly for executive leadership.
    - Corporate Taxation & Statutory Compliance: Oversee direct and indirect tax planning and compliance (Corporate Income Tax, Withholding Taxes, Transfer - Pricing documentation, and Sales & Service Tax).
    - Audit & Banking Management: Serve as the primary liaison for external auditors, tax authorities (LHDN), regulatory bodies, and corporate banking partners.

    3. Overseas Subsidiaries & China Operations Oversight
    - Subsidiary Performance Monitoring: Monitor the operational balance sheets, P&L performance, cash flow, credit control, and local regulatory filings of company’s overseas entities, with particular focus on operations in China.
    - Cross-Border Controls: Oversee transfer pricing mechanisms, intercompany reconciliations, forex exposure risk, and cross-border fund repatriations.
    - Periodic Overseas Audits: Undertake periodic on-site reviews and operational audits of overseas subsidiaries to inspect records, inventory management, and branch internal controls.

    4. Team Leadership & Internal Governance
    - Large Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and evaluate a large finance and operational accounting team spanning HQ and plant sites, establishing KPIs and accountability.
    - Internal Controls & Process Modernization: Identify control gaps, eliminate redundant workflows, and establish robust Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across enterprise accounting and procurement workflows.

    - Demonstrated experience managing and leading a large, multi-tiered accounting and finance team across general ledger, cost accounting, AP/AR, and payroll.
    - Deep, hands-on mastery of manufacturing cost accounting (standard costing, BOM tracking, chemical consumption, inventory reserves, and work-in-progress).
    - Substantial experience in corporate taxation, tax audits, and transfer pricing.
