• Job Description

  A. General Accounting & Bookkeeping
  1. Ensure invoices, debit notes and credit notes are issued on time, in line with LHDN e-Invoicing (MyInvois) requirements.
  2. Record all payables and receivables in the accounting software accurately and on time.
  3. Do general ledger entries, journal entries, accruals and prepayments.
  4. Prepare cheque and online payments, vendor payments and staff expense claims, with the right supporting documents and approvals.
  5. Maintain and record all financial transactions in the accounting software, and keep proper documentation and audit trails.
  6. Do monthly bank, inter-company and sub-ledger to general ledger reconciliations.
  
  B. Loan & Lending-Specific Accounting
  7. Reconcile loan disbursements, repayments, collections and outstanding balances between the Loan Management System and the general ledger.
  8. Make sure interest income, fees and charges are recognised correctly under the applicable accounting standards.
  9. Support the computation and review of impairment / Expected Credit Loss (ECL) provisions under MFRS 9, working with the Credit and Risk teams.
  10. Track and record write-offs, recoveries, and rescheduled or restructured loans.
  11. Monitor funding, borrowings and cash flow so there’s enough liquidity for loan disbursements.
  
  C. Financial Reporting & Analysis
  12. Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and variance analysis.
  13. Prepare statutory financial statements under MFRS / MPERS and the Companies Act 2016.
  14. Prepare financial data and reports for regulatory submissions, including periodic returns required by KPKT and other relevant authorities.
  15. Help prepare annual budgets, forecasts and business performance reports for management and the Board.
  
  D. Tax, Audit & Compliance
  16. Coordinate the annual statutory audit and act as the main contact for external auditors.
  17. Manage corporate tax matters, including tax estimates (CP204), tax computations and Form C, together with tax agents.
  18. Ensure compliance with SST, withholding tax and other statutory obligations, and with e-Invoicing requirements.
  19. Ensure company policies, procedures and internal controls are followed at all times, and support internal audit and compliance reviews.
  20. Support AML/CFT-related record keeping and reporting where it involves financial transactions.
  
  E. Stakeholder Management
  21. Coordinate with internal departments (Credit, Collections, Operations, HR) and external parties (borrowers, vendors, banks, auditors, tax agents) on day-to-day accounting matters and queries.
  22. Manage finance deliverables so that agreed timelines and month-end / year-end closing deadlines are met.
  
  F. Process Improvement & Team Leadership
  23. Take part in new processes, system implementations and developments in the organisation.
  24. Find and carry out process improvements, automation and stronger internal controls in the finance function.
  25. Do other ad hoc assignments and tasks as requested by management.
