Job Description
- Oversee the full spectrum of HR operations for the manufacturing/factory environment, covering both blue-collar and white-collar employees.
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures and practices in line with company requirements and Malaysian labour laws.
- Manage Industrial Relations and Employee Relations, including employee engagement, workplace issues, grievances and conflict resolution.
- Handle disciplinary matters, investigations, show-cause letters, warning letters and other employee-related cases in accordance with company policy and labour regulations.
- Lead recruitment and manpower planning to ensure sufficient workforce to support plant and operational requirements.
- Oversee performance management, including performance appraisal, KPI setting, performance improvement plans and employee development.
- Manage payroll and HR administration, ensuring accurate and timely processing and compliance with statutory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with the Malaysian Employment Act, labour regulations and statutory requirements, and keep management updated on relevant changes.
- Liaise with JTK / Labour Department, PERKESO, EPF, SOCSO and other relevant government authorities on HR and employment-related matters.
- Oversee the administration and compliance of foreign workers, including permits, documentation and related employment matters where applicable.
- Monitor employee attendance, leave, overtime and other workforce-related matters.
- Provide HR advice and support to the Plant Manager / Operations Director on manpower, employee relations, disciplinary and organisational matters.
- Drive employee engagement, retention and workplace initiatives to maintain a positive and productive working environment.
- Prepare and analyse HR reports, manpower data and relevant HR metrics for management review.
- Lead and develop the HR team, ensuring effective execution of HR policies, processes and daily operations.
Qualifications
Requirement
- At least 5 years of HR experience, preferably within a manufacturing or factory environment.
- Proven experience managing both blue-collar and white-collar employees.
- Strong knowledge and practical experience in Industrial Relations / Employee Relations.
- Good knowledge of the Malaysian Employment Act and applicable labour laws and regulations.
- Experience in recruitment, manpower planning and workforce management.
- Strong experience in performance management, including appraisal and employee development processes.
- Hands-on experience managing disciplinary cases, grievances and employee-related issues.
- Experience overseeing payroll and general HR administration.
- Familiarity in dealing with relevant government authorities and statutory bodies, including JTK / Labour Department, PERKESO, EPF, SOCSO, and other related agencies.
- Experience managing foreign workers would be an added advantage.
- Strong command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.
- Able to work closely with the Plant Manager / Operations Director and provide practical HR support aligned with operational requirements.English Level
