Job Description
Position OverviewWe are seeking a Commercial Manager (CM) with a strong technical background and proven commercial acumen. The ideal candidate will be fluent in Mandarin (spoken and written), hold a degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related discipline, and possess substantial experience in both procurement and technical sales/business development. This role is crucial in ensuring cost-effective procurement of chemicals used in natural latex rubber thread manufacturing, while also driving market expansion in Chinese-speaking regions. The CM will be expected to travel extensively to source suppliers, meet clients, and support international business growth.Key ResponsibilitiesProcurement & Supplier Management• Identify, assess, and procure chemicals required for latex rubber thread production.• Evaluate suppliers based on cost, quality, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with domestic and international suppliers.• Monitor market trends, raw material availability, and chemical price fluctuations.Technical Sales & Business Development• Act as a technical-commercial liaison for clients in Chinese-speaking markets.• Provide technical product knowledge and solutions to customers, ensuring application fit.• Develop new business opportunities and expand market share in Greater China and other Mandarin-speaking regions.• Prepare proposals, quotations, and technical presentations for prospective customers.• Build and maintain long-term relationships with distributors, agents, and key accounts.Market & Commercial Strategy• Analyze chemical consumption trends, pricing, and competitive activity in target markets.• Develop market entry and growth strategies for rubber thread products in China.• Work closely with production and R&D teams to align commercial strategies with technical requirements.• Ensure compliance with import/export regulations and environmental standards.Travel & Representation• Frequently travel to China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Southeast Asia for supplier negotiations and customer visits.• Represent the company at trade fairs, exhibitions, and technical conferences.
