    < ROLE OVERVIEW >
    The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for leading large-scale, labor intensive manufacturing operations to achieve world-class performance in Safety, People, Quality, Volume and Cost (SPQVC), aligned with APTIV global manufacturing
    standards and customer requirements.
    This role requires a strong shopfloor (hands-on) leader with proven experience managing high manpower volume, multi-shift operations, and complex assembly process in a fast-paced automotive environment.

    < RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES >
    Manufacturing Operations Leadership
    1. Lead end-to-end manufacturing operations including cutting, crimping, sub-assembly, final assembly and inspections.
    2. Manage large operator workforce (operators, line leaders, supervisors) across multiple shifts.
    3. Ensure achievement of daily, weekly and monthly production targets with stable manpower deployment.
    4. Drive operational discipline and standardization across all production areas.

    Labor & Productivity Management
    1. Optimize manpower utilization, attendance control, skill matrix and multi-skilling.
    2. Drive productivity improvement (JPH, MH per unit, labor efficiency) while maintaining safety and quality.
    3. Control direct labor cost, overtime, absenteeism and attrition.
    4. Lead manpower optimization, line balancing and takt time improvement.
    5. Support cost-down initiatives aligned with APTIV global targets.

    Quality, Safety & Compliance
    1. Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO, and customer-specific requirements.
    2. Drive defect reduction and customer complaint prevention through structured problem solving.
    3. Promote strong safety culture and zero accident mindset on shopfloor.

    Cost & Performance Management
    1. Own manufacturing cost (direct labor, overtime, scrap, consumables).
    2. Lead cost-down initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
    3. Monitor and review KPIs daily using tiered meeting structure.

    People Development
    1. Lead and develop Supervisors, and Line Leaders to manage large operator groups effectively.
    2. Establish strong discipline, standard work and accountability on shopfloor.
    3. Manage industrial relations challenges in a labor-intensive environment.

    Continuous Improvement & Collaboration
    1. Lead Lean Manufacturing initiatives: Kaizen, 5S, Standard Work, and Poka-Yoke.
    2. Collaborating with Manufacturing Engineering for process improvement and automation where feasible.
    3. Work closely with Production Control & Logistics in term of capacity, production schedule, and manpower planning.
    4. Work closely with Quality, Maintenance, HR and EHS teams.

Qualifications

  • Requirement

    ■ MUST REQUIREMENTS
    ・Minimum 10+ years in manufacturing operations.
    ・At least 5 years in managerial role.
    ・Strong experience in automotive and labor-intensive manufacturing environment.

    ■ ADVANTAGES
    ・MBA or equivalent management qualification is an added advantage.
    ・Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Manufacturing / Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial or equivalent).
    ・Exposure to global or multinational companies standards.
    ・Proven track record managing multi-shift operations and high mix / volume environment.

    1. Strong shopfloor presence and execution leadership.
    2. Able to lead large teams with discipline and empathy.
    3. Firm, structured, and result-oriented leadership style.
    4. Strong coaching and succession development capability.
    ・Operational & Technical Skills:
    1. Deep understanding of labor productivity, line balancing, and capacity planning.
    2. Strong in KPI management.
    3. Solid problem-solving capability (5 Why, 4M, and Fishbone diagram).
    4. Data-driven decision making.
    ・Communication:
    1. Excellent communication skills in English and Bahasa Melayu.
    2. Able to communicate effectively across all levels, including top leadership stakeholders.
    3. Comfortable handling customer audits and senior management reviews.

    ・All-in Salary = RM 10,000 ~ RM 12,000 (inclusive with below allowances)
    ・AL = 8 days, increase to max after 5yr 16days/yr
