Job Description
A PLC Technical Engineer is responsible for designing, programming, testing, and maintaining Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) systems used to automate industrial processes. The role involves developing control strategies, troubleshooting automation equipment, integrating sensors and control devices, and ensuring that all automated systems operate efficiently, safely, and reliably. The engineer works closely with the design, electrical, and production teams to ensure seamless system performance, reduce downtime, and support continuous process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
1. Integrated System Design & Solution Engineering
● Design and engineer end-to-end, integrated energy and automation solutions by
combining GE Vernova Protection, Control & Metering, Transformer Monitoring & Diagnostics (M&D), Critical Infrastructure Communications, PLC & SCADA systems, Solar Panel and BESS solutions, and associated control panels.
● Develop comprehensive solution packages that address customers’ electrical, automation, monitoring, communication, and energy management requirements.
● Translate customer operational needs into complete technical solutions covering protection, automation, monitoring, control, and energy storage systems.
● Prepare system architectures, control philosophies, I/O (Input / Output) lists, network layouts, and integration designs that enable seamless interoperability across all Energy Division products.
2. Pre-Sales Technical Support & Customer Engagement
● Support the Sales team by acting as the technical solution specialist, attending customer meetings, site visits, and technical discussions together with Sales personnel.
● Present and explain product functions, system capabilities, and integrated solution concepts to customers, highlighting the value of a comprehensive solutions offering.
● Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and solution briefings tailored to customer requirements and industry applications.
● Assist in preparing technical proposals, system descriptions, compliance statements, and value-added solution justifications for tenders and quotations.
3. Installation, Testing & Commissioning
● Participate in system installation, wiring, configuration, and commissioning of integrated automation, protection, monitoring, and communication systems.
● Conduct FAT and SAT for PLC, SCADA, GE Vernova products, Solar & BESS control systems, and related panels.
● Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during commissioning, ensuring system performance meets design and customer expectations.
● Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and customers during project execution and plant start-up activities.
4. Maintenance, Technical Support & Optimization
● Provide technical support and troubleshooting for deployed systems, including PLC/SCADA, protection relays, transformer monitoring devices, communication networks, and energy storage systems.
● Recommend system enhancements, upgrades, or expansions to improve reliability, efficiency, and operational performance.
● Support long-term customer relationships by identifying opportunities to enhance or expand existing Energy Division solutions.
5. Continuous Improvement & Product Knowledge Development
● Stay current with GE Vernova technologies, industrial automation platforms, renewable energy systems, and energy storage solutions.
● Continuously enhance solution integration capabilities to strengthen the company’s position as a total energy and automation solution provider.
● Share technical knowledge with Sales and internal teams to improve solution selling effectiveness and technical alignment.
6. Documentation & Reporting
● Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including system architectures, design drawings, test reports, and user manuals.
● Maintain records of system configurations, software versions, and integration details.
● Work closely with the Shared Services team as required, including Finance for purchase orders, invoicing, and billing matters; HR for human resource–related matters; and Marketing for promotional support and campaign coordination.
● Collaborate with the Technical and Engineering teams to obtain technical support,product clarification, application validation, and solution optimisation when required.
● Ensure documentation complies with company standards, industry regulations, andcustomer specifications.

Requirement
【Must】
- Min Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or related field.
- Min 2–5 years of experience in PLC programming, automation systems, or industrial
control engineering.
- Hands-on experience with one or more PLC platforms.
- Familiar with industrial process control standards and electrical drawings.
- Willingness to travel or work onsite for commissioning and maintenance work.
