  • Job Description

    1. Good understanding of the electrical principle
    2. Competent person register with Suruhanjaya Tenaga - BO 33KV
    3. To maintain, operate, isolate the equipment safely
    4. To perform preventive maintenance, service & repair of the electrical equipment
    5. To ensure the electrical system to comply with the Energy Commission and Electricity Supply Act & Regulations,
    6. Can perform the emergency medical treatment and CPR especially on the electrical-shocked victim
    7. Operation of the gen-set.
    8. Communication skills-good command of English and Bahasa Melayu
    9. Leadership skills and self starter
    10. Practical Engineering knowledge in terms of design engineering, setup maintenance, knowledge of utilities machinery operations and SOP setup

Qualifications

  • Requirement

    1. As the competent High Tension Charge-man, he is responsible for the following by law:-
    a) To maintain the electrical installations in the good operating condition,
    b) To maintain the electrical installation operate in safety condition to avoid any danger,
    c) To operate, service & maintain the following synchronizing panels in the power plant :-
    i.) 3 x 32,250 kVA, 11 kV Steam turbine generator,
    ii.) 1 x 4,000 kVA, 6.6 kV Black Start Diesel Generator,
    iii.) 1 x 2,150 kVA, 415 V Essential Service Diesel Generator,
    iv.) 1 x 250 kVA, 415 V Emergency Diesel Generator.
    d) To operate, maintain & repair the following machines & instruments:-
    i.) Transformers
    ii.) HV/MV switchgear
    iii.) LV MCC
    iv.) HV/LV Motors
    v.) UPS/ DC charger
    vi.) Capacitor bank
    vii.) Crane
    viii.) Welding machine.
    e) To inspect the following protective device for the machinery,
    i.) Spare parts
    ii.) Earthing
    iii.) Fuse
    iv.) Fire extinguisher
    f) To report to the Energy Commission of Malaysia in case of accident & fire caused by electrical.
    2. Involve in the high voltage switching, isolation & trouble shooting,
    3. To maintain the fire fighting system in the mill,
    4. To work safely and also provide a safe working environment for the other,
    5. To attend morning meeting with operation personnel,
    6. Weekend standby for the E & I (HV).
    7. To carry out the project upgrading and plant improvement.
    8. To follow and practice strictly all the requirements of ISO14001
    9. To carry out any other duties as directed by HOD
