Job Description
The Manager, Product Management has the primary responsibility of providing training, guidance and direction to assigned personnels in a manner that will achieve the highest rate of return on assets under his/her control and consistent with the policies and procedures of the company. He/she will work first hand with clients and Principals, purchasing and sales to achieve a common goal of increasing sales and profit margin.- Designs, establishes and maintains an organisational structure and staffing to effectively accomplish the division’s goals and objectives.- Directs and oversees the supervision of assigned personnel, which includes work allocation, training and problem resolution, evaluates performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions. - Specifies division sales personnel’s area of coverage.- Ensures that work production in the assigned division meets established objectives, specifications, and standards, and that all-applicable operating policies and procedures are adhered to.- Recommends and participates in the development of company policies and procedures to ensure efficient and safe operation of the division.- Identifies, evaluates and recommends marketing strategies in accordance with the company’s objectives for product lines.- Participates in product design and development according to market needs.- Coordinates the development of marketing materials such as brochures and point-of-sale display.- Identifies new sales prospects and assists in contract negotiations for significant distribution deals.- Establishes rapport and maintains an amicable and fruitful business relationship with existing as well as potential clients and Principals.- Responsible for developing and executing advertising and sales promotion plans.- Responsible for attaining sales, margins and profit objectives as established for the assigned division.- Supervising the regulatory personnels to ensure the new products are successfully registered.- Reviews and ensures accurate completion and timely submission of governmental, company and other reports as required in respect of assigned areas of responsibilities.- Participates in the development and management of annual operating budgets for the assigned division and regularly monitors expenditure.- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
