SummaryThe M&E Quantity Surveyor is responsible for managing and controlling all commercial and cost-related aspects of M&E works throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with project budget, contractual requirements, and commercial objectives.Key Responsibilities- Manage and monitor M&E project cost control activities to ensure alignment with project budget and commercial objectives.- Prepare, review, and evaluate BOQ, cost estimates, and tender documentation for all M&E works.- Conduct quantity take-off based on M&E design and construction drawings.- Identify discrepancies between design intent and M&E construction drawings and assess cost implications.- Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations, including technical and commercial comparison analysis.- Support procurement activities by coordinating with M&E subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and clients.- Prepare and assess variation orders (VO), claims, and cost adjustments throughout the project lifecycle.- Assist in contract administration, including progress payment certification and final account settlement.- Collaborate with project teams to ensure cost efficiency while maintaining compliance with approved specifications and quality standards.- Provide regular cost and commercial reports to the Project Manager and commercial management team.- Identify, evaluate, and mitigate contractual and commercial risks in M&E works.
