  • Job Description

    • Develop, document, and optimize injection moulding processes for new and existing tools.
    • Establish and maintain robust process parameters to ensure part consistency, cycle time efficiency, and quality compliance.
    • Analyze and troubleshoot moulding issues such as flash, short shots, sink marks, warpage, and dimensional inaccuracies.
    • Collaborate with tooling, quality, and production teams on mould trials, new tool validations (IQ/OQ/PQ), and DOE studies.
    • Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements or upgrades to enhance productivity and reduce downtime.
    • Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions for non-conformances and process deviations.
    • Support preventive maintenance efforts for moulds and machines to ensure reliable operation.
    • Assist in training production staff and process technicians on best practices and new processes.
    • Identify opportunities for automation, cost reduction, and waste elimination within the moulding process.
    • Ensure all operations comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as ISO/quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Requirement

    • Bachelor's degree in Plastics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
    • At least 2 years of experience in injection moulding process engineering.
    • Strong knowledge of injection moulding machines (e.g., Arburg, Engel, Husky, Sumitomo, etc.), hot runner systems, and auxiliary equipment.
    • Familiarity with scientific moulding techniques, process monitoring tools, and mold flow analysis software.
    • Solid understanding of plastic materials (thermoplastics), material drying, and troubleshooting resin- related issues.
    • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, or similar continuous improvement methodologies.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
    • Working knowledge of statistical process control (SPC), DOE, and quality tools (e.g., PFMEA, CAPA).
    • Prior experience working with automotive, medical, or high-precision plastic components.
