  • Job Description

    • Purchase Order Management: Manage the full PO lifecycle by ensuring requisitions are approved, issuing orders to suppliers, and monitoring their status.
    • Supplier & Delivery Coordination: Follow up with vendors to ensure on-time delivery of materials and services while communicating any delays or issues to internal departments.
    • Strategic Sourcing & Cost Control: Source new suppliers for non-stock items and analyze revised quotations from existing vendors to perform cost comparisons and identify price changes.
    • Stakeholder Communication: Act as a key liaison between the Planning and Shipping departments to fulfill material requirements and maintain clear expectations with external suppliers.
    • Sub-Contractor & Records Oversight: Maintain and reconcile subcontractor records, tallying returned goods against internal data to finalize and close out purchase orders.
    • Operational Support: Coordinate ISO data, shipping data, manage renewal forms (A2) of LMW, and monitor all inventory levels.
    • Ad-hoc: Perform other administrative and ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the Management.

Qualifications

  • Requirement

    <Requirement>
    • Minimum 2 years' experience in a procurement or purchasing role, ideally within the manufacturing industry
    • Effective communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
    • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
    • Proven ability to negotiate pricing, payment terms (e.g., 30/60), and Lead Times with vendors.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders
    • Proficient in using procurement and inventory management software
    • Degree or diploma in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field

    • Effective communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
    • An analytical mindset with the ability to identify cost-saving opportunities
    • Familiarity with ISO standards to ensure supplier registration and documentation meet compliance requirements. (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001)
    • A track record of solving supply chain disruptions, such as managing material shortages or shipping delays.
