■ JOB OVERVIEW
As an Assistant Service Manager, you will play a key leadership role in managing service operations and ensuring the successful installation, maintenance, and optimal performance of commercial kitchen equipment.
This position requires advanced technical expertise, strong people management skills, and the ability to oversee a service team while working closely with sales and management to deliver comprehensive, customer-focused solutions.
You will also contribute to service strategy, process improvements, and business growth initiatives.
■ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
・Service Operations & Technical Expertise
- Oversee and support complex service, repair, and preventive maintenance work on commercial kitchen equipment.
- Act as the primary technical escalation point for critical or complex issues, ensuring timely resolution.
- Ensure all service activities comply with company standards, health & safety requirements, and industry best practices.
・Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients through regular site visits and proactive issue resolution.
- Collaborate with the sales team as the technical advisor during client meetings, project scoping, and proposal development.
・Process Improvement & Reporting
- Analyze recurring technical issues, prepare root-cause reports, and recommend corrective/preventive actions to headquarters.
- Gather and share market intelligence (client expansion plans, competitor products, technology trends) to support business strategy.
- Identify opportunities to improve service processes, reduce downtime, and enhance customer experience.
・Training & Knowledge Sharing
- Conduct advanced training sessions for clients and internal teams on equipment operation, troubleshooting, and safety protocols.
- Develop and implement training programs for junior engineers to build technical competency within the team.
Qualifications
Requirement
■ MUST REQUIREMENTS
・Over 8 years of experience in the service and maintenance of electrical and electronic equipment.
・Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience servicing and maintaining commercial kitchen/food processing equipment or HVAC/refrigeration systems.
・Candidate must possess own transport (car or bike) and must be willing to travel.
■ ADVANTAGES
・Candidate with experience working in new setup company, and experience in hiring new joiner or managing a team of engineer has advantage.
・Gas Contractors (registered under Energy Commission) has advantage.
・Degree / Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
■ OTHER REQUIREMENTS
・Candidate must be willing to work in a new setup company.
・Candidate must be matured, independent and capable to work without much supervision.English Level
