Role Description:
We are seeking a commercially driven and strategically minded Senior Manager / Assistant General Manager – Strategic Business to drive growth within our medical life sciences business unit. This role will serve as a key commercial lead for the division, focusing on strategic customer acquisition, market expansion, and long-term business growth within the medical device, pharmaceutical, and life sciences sectors.
Operating within a plastic injection moulding CDMO/ODM/OEM environment, the incumbent will work closely with customers and internal technical teams to develop commercially viable solutions and strengthen the company’s position as a preferred manufacturing partner. The ideal candidate possesses strong business development capabilities, industry networks, and experience managing complex consultative sales engagements involving cross-functional stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Revenue Growth Planning & Budget Realisation
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales and marketing expansion strategies that align with the company’s overall business objectives.
- Drive the full sales lifecycle from lead generation to contract closure, consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets and budget commitments.
- Identify and penetrate new market segments and industries to strengthen the company's revenue streams.
- Pursue new business opportunities by establishing strategic partnerships and alliances that create competitive advantages.
2. Key Account Management & Strategic Partnerships
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key customers and decision-makers.
- Develop a deep understanding of key accounts' business roadmaps and challenges, positioning as an indispensable extension of their supply chain.
- Implement robust account growth plans to ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction and drive retention.
- Lead and negotiate high-value contracts, ensuring terms are profitable, sustainable, and aligned with long-term strategic goals.
3. Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis
- Serve as the market expert by conducting ongoing research into market trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape.
- Analyse market dynamics to identify and capitalise on emerging opportunities and potential threats.
- Translate market insights into actionable strategies for product positioning, differentiation, and commercial initiatives.
- Monitor industry innovations and technological advancements to keep the company at the forefront of the market.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Engineering, NPI, Production, and Finance teams to ensure smooth implementation of sales initiatives.
- Align sales strategies with operational capabilities.
- Facilitate clear communication of customer requirements and project timelines across departments to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.
5. Pricing & Margin Management
- Analyse cost structures and implement strategic pricing models that balance competitiveness with profitability.
- Optimise the product mix to maximize overall gross margin and lifetime value.
- Champion a value-based pricing culture, effectively articulating the value proposition of our technical capabilities and quality standards to justify premium pricing where applicable.
6. Risk Management & Compliance
- Ensure all sales practices adhere to the legal, ethical, and company standards.
- Proactively identify and mitigate commercial, operational, and reputational risks throughout the sales process.
- Establish robust reporting mechanisms to ensure transparency and provide accurate sales forecasts and performance data to the senior management.

任职资格
1. Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in sales/business development within manufacturing (preferably plastics, injection moulding, or ODM/OEM) environments.
- Proven ability to develop strategic customer relationships and drive long-term business growth targeting medical device companies, pharmaceutical firms, or healthcare brand owners.
- Experience engaging multinational medical device or life sciences customers is an advantage.
2. Industry & Technical Expertise
- Familiar with medical manufacturing environments, including regulatory standards (e.g. FDA, ISO 13485, GMP).
- Familiar with plastic component manufacturing processes (i.e. injection moulding, extrusion, cleanroom production) and ODM models, including design collaboration and product customisation for clients.
