  Job Objectives :
  Responsible for:
  a) Overall Packaging Design
  b) New Product Introduction and
  c) Manufacturing and Assembly support
  
  Roles And Responsibilities :
  • Carry out packaging design activities and provide solution to customers by liaising with cross functional teams and suppliers
  • Participate in design concept and technical discussion with stakeholders and suppliers
  • Ensure the packaging are cost-effective and safe for products
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure proofs of good quality and in line with product specifications
  • Perform internal packaging testing to meet customers’ requirement and expectation
  • Assist with the development and maintenance SOPs to manage packaging design and NPI processes
  • Working closely with stakeholders and collaborate with cross functional teams to timely execute projects from concept through to production
  • Assist NPI Lead in NPI process includes qualification and compliance of the new design to internal design specifications and industry and regulatory standards
  • Assist NPI Lead to conduct engineering evaluation/qualification
  • Participate in the design review and validation processes of new products
  • Participate in line setup and production readiness such as new tool and jig manufacturing, machine setup and fixture preparation
  • Support R&D, quality engineering, CMs for routine applications and continuous improvement
  • Work with cross functional teams to ensure that proper Quality Control Plans, Flow Plans, Work Instructions, PFMEA, Cpk, SPC and other regulatory certifications are completed for the implementation of the new product design
  • Follow-up inter-department documentation readiness and completion of paperwork
  • Prepare and complete the NPI checklist
  • Ensure ad-hoc tasks to be completed in timely and proper manner
  • Skills to communicate with external and internal teams to ensure completion of task
  
  Preferably experienced in the following areas:
  • Product release through New Product Introduction (NPI) protocols
  • Understanding of mechanical designs and mass production
  • Understanding of bill of materials (BOMs)
  • Ability to apply engineering knowledge to trouble-shot and resolve technical issue
