< POSITION SUMMARY >The CIO is responsible for defining and executing the company’s technology strategy, including the trading platform, technology solutions and any other enterprise systems. This role ensures that IT infrastructure, applications, and digital transformation initiatives align with business objectives, drive operational efficiency, and manage and monitor project implementation within budget and timeline, in line with business growth. Currently, the IT Dept has about 50 HC with various sub-sections within the department.Budget creation, management and compliance. Our company is regulated and under surveillance by the Securities Commission.- Cyber security and compliance with internal and external requirements.- IT personnel management and mentoring- Vendor relationshipsThis role will be based in the Kuala Lumpur office and report directly to the CEO. The company plans to undergo a technology transformation to enhance the customer experience when using our app platform, as well as a few projects that will involve IT. The CIO will be part of this transformation journey. The CIO will present the IT update and project progress not only to management but also to the IT Committee and Board members. A CIO should have in-depth knowledge of the current and upcoming trends in the IT field.The CIO must have highly analytical thinking, be professional, and possess excellent organizational and leadership skills. As a senior member of the management team, the CIO must possess strong business acumen, excellent communication skills, strategic planning abilities, and a thorough understanding of the company’s internal operations and technology initiatives.< KEY RESPONSIBILITIES >・Setting objectives and strategies for the IT department and providing guidance to IT staff and the internal organization.・Selecting and implementing suitable innovative technology to streamline all operations and optimize efficiency to gain a competitive advantage.・Designing and customizing technological systems and platforms to improve both operations and customer experiences.・Oversee IT-related projects, network infrastructure and systems to ensure optimal performance is achieved.・Analyze costs, value and risks of Information Technology to advise Top Management and suggest actions.・Plan and implement enhancements to systems by providing accurate information on business needs and priorities.・Provide layman's advice and interpretation on technical jargon to non-technical audiences.・Establish relationships with stakeholders to develop trust and ensure the reliability, timeliness and accuracy of information.・Interprets and delivers information on regulatory and industry-wide rules, regulations and standards.・Escalation of issues/problems to keep Top Management informed, advice and provide recommendations to Top Management as and when needed.
