We are a leading industrial automation solutions provider specializing in smart manufacturing, delivering innovative solutions across automation, robotics, warehouse automation, and digital manufacturing.As a Sales Engineer at UB, you will play a key role in identifying new business opportunities, understanding customer technical requirements, and connecting customers with the right automation solutions.You will work closely with customers, Technical Presales, Engineering, Project Management, and other internal teams throughout the sales process — from initial opportunity identification and qualification to solution development, proposal preparation, negotiation, and closing.This role offers strong exposure to the industrial automation and smart manufacturing industry, with opportunities to develop both technical solution-selling and commercial capabilities.【Role Overview】The Sales Engineer is responsible for developing new business opportunities and driving sales growth by identifying, qualifying, and progressing potential customers and projects.This role combines business development and technical solution selling, requiring the ability to understand customer challenges, identify suitable automation opportunities, and work with internal technical teams to develop competitive solutions and proposals.The Sales Engineer will actively build and manage the sales pipeline, engage with customers in factory and industrial environments, prepare proposals and quotations, and support opportunities throughout the sales cycle until successful closure.【Job Responsibilities】•Identify and develop new business opportunities within targeted industries and customer segments.•Generate new sales leads through market research, networking, referrals, industry events, cold outreach, and existing business networks.•Build and maintain a healthy B2B sales pipeline and consistently identify new potential customers and projects.•Qualify sales opportunities by understanding customer needs, project requirements, budget, timeline, decision-making process, and commercial potential.•Conduct customer meetings, site visits, and factory walkthroughs to understand operational challenges and identify opportunities for automation and smart manufacturing solutions.•Work closely with Technical Presales, Engineering, and relevant internal teams to develop suitable technical concepts and solutions based on customer requirements.•Present UB's solutions, capabilities, and value propositions effectively to prospective customers.•Prepare quotations, commercial proposals, presentations, and tender documentation in accordance with approved pricing and discount policies.•Follow up actively on proposals and opportunities to progress deals through the sales pipeline.•Support commercial negotiations and coordinate internally to address technical and commercial clarifications from customers.•Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customer stakeholders at technical, operational, procurement, and management levels.•Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer, lead, opportunity, and pipeline information in the CRM system.•Provide regular sales pipeline updates, opportunity status, forecasts, risks, and competitor intelligence during internal sales and Deal Review meetings.•Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging customer requirements to identify new business opportunities.•Coordinate with Account Management and internal teams for proper customer handover upon successful project award.•Ensure proper sales documentation and compliance with internal commercial and approval processes.•Achieve assigned sales, pipeline generation, and business development targets.
