  • Job Description

    - Compliance and to promote a safe conduct of work environment.
    - To review and monitor latest legal and other compliance.
    - HIRARC Training and review.
    - Monthly safety report and safety statistic report update.
    - To setup and update chemicals registration and chemicals labelling system.
    - Liaise with external or other parties such as DOSH, DOE, BOMBA, etc.
    - Conduct regular audits on all first aid, emergency and firefighting equipment and facilities to ensure regular replenishment, maintenance and inspection are being performed per schedule.
    - To conduct a Basic Safety Training orientation for all new hires.
    - Planning and organizing of Safety Training and Environmental Training for all employees.
    - Establish and ensure the operation of ERT in the company.
    - To become a secretary to the safety and health committee and perform all the functions of the secretary as specified in the Occupational Safety and Health (Safety and Health Officer) Regulations 1997.
    - Responsible for the renewal of machinery CF and always ensure its validity.
    - Planning and organizing of fire drill to familiarize the emergency evacuation plan.
    - To conduct a safety inspection in the company.
    - To conduct safety and health monitoring such as LEV monitoring, CHRA, CEM and others to comply to the provisions of OSHA 1994.
    - To enforce any instructions or directives issued by the management from time to time.
    - To conduct internal investigation of accident cases and submit reports and recommendations.
    - Participating in continuing education to update knowledge of health and safety protocols and techniques.

    The general duties of an SHO are to ensure compliance and to promote a safe conduct of work. Regulatory responsibilities of an SHO are specifically prescribed in the Occupational Safety and Health (Safety and Health Officer) Regulations.

Qualifications

  • Requirement

    【Must】
    - Diploma/ Degree in Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering/ Occupational Safety and Health or any related field.
    - Having at least 2 years working experience on Safety and Health Line.
    - Having DOSH Green Book Certification
    - Having Capable of developing SOPs and preparing detailed reports.
