  • Job Description

    1.Oversee and manage the overall activity of safety, health, environmental, fire protection and emergency response plan (ERP) for the company in order to ensure the achievement of targets, goals, and objectives.
    2.In charge of steam boiler, wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) and scheduled waste (SW) disposal activities. Ensure steam boiler operate in a safe and efficient manner while the WWTP and SW activity are perform following the guideline by the DOE.
    3.Develop, implement, monitor and continually improves safety procedures and practices throughout the workplace; so as to minimize safety incidences in compliance with HSE guidelines and regulations.
    4.Prepare annual schedule for HSE such as planning for HSC meeting, DOSH inspection for PMA,PMT and PMD, fire drill, fire inspection, legal compliance monitoring and internal audit OHSAS 18001:2007.
    5.Maintain effective communication and cooperate with relevant government agencies such as the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH), the Department of Environment (DOE), the Fire and Rescue Department of Malaysia (JBPM) in ensuring the safety, health and environmental systems in accordance with the guidelines.
    6.Provide Capex, Opex and consumable expenses for all the necessary requirements to ensure the program runs smoothly and the equipment is sufficient.
    7.Cooperate with all departments regarding all issues concerned with HSE, scheduled waste management, wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) and boiler operation.
    8.Review accidents and incidents which occur and conduct field audits, reporting and managing the corrective actions
    9.Conduct continuous training and programs designed to promote optimal HSE performance.
    10.Ensure that all reporting (OER, eSWIS, accident reports, etc.), is correctly completed and submitted to management and appropriate agency.
    11.OHSAS 18001:2007 management representative.
    12.Carry out savings-related projects to reduce utility consumption and steam cost such as reused effluent discharged and heat recovery project.
    13.Plan and carry out effective preventive maintenance for boilers and related machineries / equipment in order to minimize downtime.
    14.Trains staff in the safe and proper handling of waste materials
    15.Coordinate storage, handling and disposal of scheduled waste.

Qualifications

  • Requirement

    - Education Background : Occupational Safety and Health Degree or Diploma Certificate would be an advantage

    - Experience : Minimum 5 year Safety and Health field experience and understand the application of the Occupational
    Safety and Health Act 1994 and other legislation relevant to the company business.

    - Require Skill : Having technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in boiler and WWTP operation

    - Certificate :Having Second Grade Steam Engineer Certificate and competency in CePIETSO (BP)/(PCP) or CePSWAM is an added advantage
