    POSITION SUMMARY:

    Evaluates new parts & assemblies for manufacturability in the quoting stages prior to manufacturing release. Develop project/process plans to ensure a smooth implementation into production. Bring manufacturing issues to resolution via. technical expertise, creation of an SPS and follow through to resolve SPS issues in a timely manner. Interacts with manufacturing & programming to produce the most efficient process (s) thru shipment to the customer. To provide job cost estimates as required and act as a customer and vendor liaison offering technical support.

    POSITION FUNCTIONS:

    - Will work as a Project Engineer when technical expertise is required.
    - Drive/Manage Project schedules and Actual-vs-Estimated Costs.
    - Track and report on project status, problems and cost and delivery of product to the customer. - Develop a working relationship with our external customers as a focal point for technical expertise and problem resolution as required.
    - Interfaces with customers to obtain modified drawings, written instructions, ESW etc to resolve manufacturing issues critical to customer’s requirements for on-time delivery.
    - Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods and quality control standards.
    - Assists Programming, Manufacturing, Assembly and Shipping to develop part Methods to minimize changes and shorten lead times thru production as required.
    - Confers with planning and customer design engineer concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
    - Confers with suppliers to determine products according to specifications and quality standards.
    - As a backup works with Sales to estimate new parts or assemblies for manufacturability and cost.
    - Works directly with manufacturing teams to improve utilization and efficiencies.

Qualifications

  • Requirement

    - Education back ground : Diploma or Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Technology or Mechanical Engineering.
    - Experience : Minimum 6-10 years experience in machining or assembly.
    - Require Skill :
    > Computer skills required-word processing, spread sheets, data management.
    > Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts and practices.
    Others :
    > Good communication and Interactive skills-verbal and written. Technical writing experience preferred.
    > Professional appearance-Interface with customers and suppliers, as company representative.
    > Other areas of formal training suggested-project management, statistical process control, design of experiments (Problem Solving), geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, supervision or team training.
    > The employee may be required to follow other job-related instructions and to perform other job-related duties as requested, subject to all applicable state and federal laws.
    > Team based manufacturing skills.
