We are seeking a results-driven, hands-on Automation Engineer to lead the installation, integration, and commissioning of automated packaging lines and factory automation systems across our manufacturing operations.In this role, you will be the technical lead responsible for transforming manual and semi-automated workflows into high-efficiency, automated production environments. You will oversee end-of-line packaging automation, coordinate turnkey machinery integration from equipment vendors, program and troubleshoot PLCs/HMIs, and drive plant-wide automation upgrades. This role suits a pragmatic engineer with strong technical problem-solving capabilities who thrives in a demanding, fast-paced manufacturing setting.Key Responsibilities1. Automated Packaging Installation & Commissioning:- Lead on-site installation, SAT (Site Acceptance Testing), dry/wet commissioning, and ramp-up of automated packing equipment (e.g., automated bagging/boxing, wrapping, carton erectors, pick-and-place systems, labeling, checkweighers, and palletizing systems).- Optimize packing line cycle times, throughput speed, indexing accuracy, and rejection mechanisms to minimize downtime and material wastage.2. Automation Project Management:- Plan and execute plant-wide automation projects from design review through to final handover.- Liaise directly with machinery suppliers and technology vendors—including preparing technical user requirement specifications (URS), reviewing electrical/mechanical schematics, and supervising vendor field service engineers.3. PLC, HMI & Control Systems Integration:- Program, modify, and troubleshoot industrial PLCs (Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron, or Allen-Bradley), HMIs, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and servo motion controls.- Integrate sensors, pneumatic/hydraulic actuators, vision inspection systems, and safety interlocks across production machinery.4. Floor Troubleshooting & Continuous Improvement:- Serve as the frontline technical expert for resolving complex automation, electrical, and control faults during active production.- Implement continuous improvements (Kaizen) to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and eliminate bottlenecks.5. Standards, Documentation & Operator Training:- Establish Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), preventive maintenance schedules, and calibration routines for all newly commissioned automation assets.- Train plant technicians and machine operators on system operation, fault recovery, and daily maintenance protocols.

■ JOB SUMMARYThe BO Chargeman is responsible for ensuring the uninterrupted, safe, and efficient operation of the High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) electrical infrastructure, power distribution systems, and automated facilities at the distribution center mega-logistics hub. The candidate will serve as the certified competent person registered under the Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) to oversee all high-voltage electrical switching, preventive maintenance, compliance, and emergency restoration.■ JOB RESPONSIBILITIES1. High Voltage (HV) & Low Voltage (LV) System Management- Act as the registered Competent Person (BO Chargeman) under Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) regulations for the facility.- Perform operational High Voltage (11kV / 33kV) switching, isolation, racking out/in of HT circuit breakers, and earth switches safely.- Oversee the daily operations and monitoring of HT Switchgear, Power Transformers, Ring Main Units (RMU), LV Main Switchboards (MSB), Sub-Switchboards (SSB), Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), and Standby Diesel Generators.- Monitor incoming power supply quality from Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) and manage maximum demand (MD) power factor correction to optimize energy consumption.2. Facilities Maintenance & Operational Integrity- Plan and execute daily, monthly, and annual Preventive Maintenance (PPM) programs for all high-voltage and low-voltage electrical systems.- Trouble-shoot electrical faults, trip incidents, and system anomalies swiftly to minimize facility downtime for automated material handling systems (ASRS, conveyors) and logistics operations.- Supervise appointed electrical contractors, ST-registered Competent Engineers, and third-party vendors during scheduled shutdowns, statutory inspections, and calibration exercises.3. Statutory Compliance & Safety- Maintain complete compliance with the Electricity Supply Act 1990, Electricity Regulations 1994, and Department of Occupational Safety & Health (DOSH) guidelines.- Upkeep and update the official Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) Electrical Logbook, single-line diagrams, switching schedules, and operational records.- Enforce strict Lock-Out, Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures and issue Permits to Work (PTW) for high-risk electrical tasks.4. Emergency Response & Continuous Support- Lead immediate emergency troubleshooting and power restoration procedures during TNB power outages, grid surges, or system trips.- Provide standby support and manage emergency power supply transitions (Diesel Generator synchronized startup and UPS cut-over).
