Job Objectives:The Assistant Electronic Design Manager will lead the hardware and firmware design, development, and validation of the electronic hardware team for height adjustable desk system inclusive of motor controllers, power supply systems, handsets, etc. Roles And Responsibilities:• Oversee the entire R&D team of electronic and FW engineers in design and development• Check and approve all new design schematic, layout and gerber files, as well as any revision or deviation of the current design• Coordinate all new electronic designs project with the electronic team• Plan out detailed electronic circuit design study, simulation, testing, validation, and schedule• Check schematic, layout and gerber design of projects, considering compliance requirement• Ensure all technical documentation are saved and uploaded into the cloud shared drive• Plan testing and approve new EOL part, module or system replacement• Evaluate part costing and perform studies to meet costing targets• Liaise with vendors and a cross functional team to produce, validate and approve prototypes• Perform design FMEA and debug/troubleshoot and addresses customer’s complaint/reject• Perform cross functional investigation for all new critical issues at production/lab• Release new projects based on new project ideas and roadmaps• Train and coach all new recruits for the electronics team and evaluate performance and goals
