    1. Job Summary

    The job holder is responsible to increase Music Instrument (MI) sales & market share by establishing, developing, expanding & building strong relationships with assigned and new sales channels. The Job Holder is tasked to achieve the assigned monthly and annual Sales Targets. The Job Holder is also required to travel regularly & extensively to service and support the assigned sales channels and implement & support MI Sales and Marketing strategies, events & activities.

    2.  Core Responsibilities (KRA = Key Results & Accountabilities Areas)
    2.1 To Achieve the Monthly and Annual Sales Targets & Key Performance Indicators (KPI) assigned
    2.2 To Increase and Improve Company Representation through Sales Channels Expansion and/or Development.
    2.3 To Minimise Financial Risk through Timely Collection of Accounts Receivables.
    2.4 To submit timely forecasts, reports and feedback on sales results & review, market, sales channels' and competitors' situation
    2.5 To administer job scope and support division's and company's events and projects

    3. Job Duties

    3.1 To Achieve the Monthly and Annual Sales Targets & Key Performance Indicators (KPI) assigned

    3.1.1 Building stronger relationships with assigned Sales Channels for smoother business transactions.
    a. Make regular visits to the Sales Channels' outlets and/or stores
    b. Advise and propose suitable models to increase their sales opportunities
    c. Provide regular & consistent products' features & information sharing & in-store sales training
    d. Recommend timely counter-measures and/or solutions to address Sales Channels' challenges
    e. Encourage, Motivate & Support Sales Channels to conduct their own marketing activities e.g social media, in-house promotions, Roadshows, etc
    f. Share relevant & applicable Yamaha's strategies policies & directives timely

    3.1.2 Recommending and proposing replenishments of MI products to Sales Channels
    a. Monitor Sales Channels' inventory and ensure sufficient stock holding for disruption-free sell-through
    b. Advise and recommend effective product displays and action plans for obsolete and out-going models.
    c. Propose new models when applicable / necessary

    3.2 To Increase and Improve Yamaha Representation through Sales Channels Expansion and/or Development.
    a. Ensure sufficient and current company products are effectively displayed and ready for demonstration
    b. Provide regular & consistent products' features & information sharing & in-store sales training
    c. Propose business opportunities to new prospective Sales Channels

    3.3 To Minimise Financial Risk through Timely Collection of Accounts Receivables.
    a. To provide timely reminders and follow-through with prompt & accurate collection of Accounts Receivables
    b. Encourage prompt payment from Sales Channels to benefit from prevailing rebates and remind Sales Channels on the consequences of late payments.

    3.4 To submit timely forecasts, reports and feedback on sales results & review, market, sales channels' and competitors' situation
    a. Submit timely forecasts & reports with comprehensive information and accurate data required

    3.5 To administer job scope and support division's and company's events and projects
    a. To ensure compliance to company's policies and provide feedback for improvement
    b. Active participation in division's and company's activities & events

Qualifications

  • Requirement

    [ MUST ]
    ◎ Priority of Skills / Experiences
    1. Over 5 years of Wholesales / BtoB Sales / Channel Sales experience in Music Instrument industry
    2. Over 5 years of Wholesales / BtoB Sales / Channel Sales experience in other industry
    ◎ Sales & Negotiation Skill
    ◎ Possess license and a car

    ◎ Education:
    >> SPM with credit in Bahasa Malaysia, English and Mathematics.
    >> Diploma in any study preferable from Business Admin / Marketing / Communication.
    ◎ Good knowledge of MS Office 365
