SummaryThe M&E Quantity Surveyor is responsible for managing and controlling all commercial and cost-related aspects of M&E works throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with project budget, contractual requirements, and commercial objectives.Key Responsibilities- Manage and monitor M&E project cost control activities to ensure alignment with project budget and commercial objectives.- Prepare, review, and evaluate BOQ, cost estimates, and tender documentation for all M&E works.- Conduct quantity take-off based on M&E design and construction drawings.- Identify discrepancies between design intent and M&E construction drawings and assess cost implications.- Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations, including technical and commercial comparison analysis.- Support procurement activities by coordinating with M&E subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and clients.- Prepare and assess variation orders (VO), claims, and cost adjustments throughout the project lifecycle.- Assist in contract administration, including progress payment certification and final account settlement.- Collaborate with project teams to ensure cost efficiency while maintaining compliance with approved specifications and quality standards.- Provide regular cost and commercial reports to the Project Manager and commercial management team.- Identify, evaluate, and mitigate contractual and commercial risks in M&E works.

Estimation and Cost Analysis• Develop accurate cost estimates for electrical systems and M&E projects, including materials, labor, and equipment.• Perform quantity take-offs based on project drawings and technical specifications.• Analyze supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure competitiveness and reliability.• Conduct feasibility and cost-risk analyses for new tenders.Tendering and Proposal Preparation• Prepare and submit quotations, tender documents, and technical proposals.• Attend tender briefings, perform site surveys, and gather site-specific data.• Coordinate and contribute to technical clarifications and presentations for clients.Technical Support and Documentation• Provide technical input and clarification throughout the tendering and execution stages.• Assist in preparing procurement strategies and tender documentation.• Maintain accurate records of cost estimates, tender submissions, and pricing data.Project Coordination and Collaboration• Work closely with project managers and operations teams to ensure alignment with cost and scope.• Participate in internal coordination meetings to ensure timely and accurate deliverables.• Monitor and support cost control during project execution.Vendor and Subcontractor Management• Assist in sourcing and evaluating suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors.• Ensure that selected partners meet quality, cost, and delivery expectations.Customer and Internal Stakeholder Engagement• Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and support business development efforts, especially within non-Japanese sectors.• Verify sales contents, quotations, and PO values to ensure alignment with estimates and client expectations.• Support in CIDB reporting and other compliance-related documentation.

- Salary: RM4,000 - 6,000 (Depending on experience)

- AL - Starting (1st 2 years) - 8 days (Flexible) + 4 days (Fixed-CNY-2 Days Extra; Hari Raya-1 Day Extra & Deepavali-1 Day Extra), progressively increased over the years with Maximum of 20 days (Flexible) (from 8, 12, 16 till max 20) + 4 days (Fixed).
