Job Summary:The Account Assistant is responsible for managing the day-to-day financial operations of the company, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with relevant regulations. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented and proactive individual with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices within a manufacturing environment.Key Responsibilities:Financial Accounting & Reporting:•Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and inventory accounting.•Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (e.g., income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement) in accordance with Specify Accounting Standards•Reconcile bank accounts and other balance sheet accounts on a regular basis.•Ensure timely and accurate submission of statutory filings (e.g., SST, income tax).Cost Accounting:•Assist in the development and maintenance of cost accounting systems.•Analyse manufacturing costs, including raw materials, labour, and overhead.•Prepare cost reports and variance analysis to identify areas for improvement.Account Payable and Receivable:•Accounts Payable: Process invoices, ensure proper documentation and approvals, and manage timely payments to suppliers.•Accounts Receivable: Monitor accounts receivable, follow up on outstanding invoices, and ensure timely collection of payments.•E-invoice: Submit self-billed invoices for overseas purchase and e-invoice for reimbursement. •Maintain strong relationships with vendors and customers regarding payment matters.Audit & Tax:•Assist in the preparation of documentation for internal and external audits.•Support the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.Other Responsibilities:•Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and documentation.•Participate in process improvement initiatives within the finance department.•Perform other duties as assigned by the Finance Manager/Head of Finance.
