Job Description
• Analyzes product to develop tools or machine to meet specifications and performance requirements.
• Determines feasibility of tool concepts considering, costs, floor space, time limitations, quote parameters and other technical and economic factors.
• Provides technical information concerning manufacturing or process techniques.
• Confers with shop personnel to clarify or resolve problems and help develop designs.
• Prepares or directs preparation of tool and system layouts and detailed drawings and schematics.
• Complies and analyzes operational test and research data to establish performance standards for equipment.
• Responsible for design and documentation of tooling AIS standards and mentoring design and drafts on proper methodology and standards.
Qualifications
Requirement
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanics Engineering or equivalent; 10-15 years related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Solid knowledge of machine automation preferably in the connector industry.
• Solid knowledge of the latest manufacturing techniques used in fabricating tooling.
• Knowledge of Quality Control principles and methodology is an asset.
• Good Communication and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical reasoning and problem solving.English Level
