• Job Description

  • To actively lead the team to ensure that team targets and objectives are met in all aspects of the business, whilst promoting and monitoring the process of continuous improvement.
  • To provide, as practicably as possible, a safe and healthy working environment, implementing improvement programs in order to eliminate any work related injuries
  • To create and promote harmonious working relationships, improving the operation of the team and its relationship with both internal and external customers
  • Monitor and evaluate costs, quality and service; identifying areas for improvement programs in order to eliminate waste, this will normally be achieved through:
  • the use of problem solving techniques
  • the evaluation team of results compared to budget and objective
  • the ongoing monitoring of team performance
  • To define priorities together with team members, setting objectives and devising improvement plans in order that results meet or exceed expectations
  • Together with the team and Planning, ensure and guarantee the total satisfaction of all customers, both internal and external
  • To assist the team members and members of other teams (possibly outside the group) to achieve effective and efficient use of resources
  • To assist the Group Leader, MIC and Team members in defining the training and development needs of all team members
  • Through a cascade method, ensure that communications operate effectively both within the team and elsewhere within the organisation
  • Together with the Group Leader and the Process Improvers, determines any necessary investment within the team area and prepares the justification for capital expenditure
  • To act as a link with suppliers (internal and external) to ensure that the team operates in an efficient and productive manner.
