    Job Summary
    Compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory authorities. Maintains safety equipment inventory ana performs periodic safety inspections. Take ownership of Life Safety Systems in the premises. Leads Safety Committee, Emergency Response Team(ERT), Medical Emergency Response Team (MERT), and Chemical Spill Team (CST) activities.

    What You Will Do:
    • Be the focal point of Safety and Health function. Publish reports and statistics on safety with details on incidents and preventive actions.
    • Advice and represent the company on all matters related safety and health.
    • Implement awareness programs on a periodic basis on safety and health in workplace with particular emphasis on hazards present at work.
    • Represent company at all DOSH/NIOSH meetings as the Safety and Health Designate.
    • Establish and review company safety and health policy, safety management instructions, emergency evacuation plan, and safety handbook in compliance to government regulatory requirement and DOSH/DOE regulations.
    • Train and maintain an ERT organization that springs into action in terms of emergencies with regular drills to improve its response time.
    • Provide training assistance or material to Training Department for all new employees and retraining programs.
    • Establish programs to include Ergonomics, Respiratory Protection, Personal Protective Equipment, Regulated Waste Management, Hazardous Communication and Recognition, Machine Guarding, Electrical Safety, Compressed Cylinder Handling, Storm Water, Waste Water, Incidents Investigation, and Ionizing Radiation Protection.
    • Acts as EHS coordinator for the Safety Committee and in matters related to EHS.
    • Plans, implements, and conducts Industrial Hygiene monitoring program which includes lead, noise survey, and chemical samplings. Conducts industrial hygiene investigations to check, identify, evaluate, and control exposures to chemicals, physical, and ergonomics factors in the work environment.
    • Implements a monitoring and controlling system for new chemicals introduction into the site inclusive of establishing TLVs on exposure, proper handling and storage methods for all approved chemicals. Provide inputs to generate yearly budget for Safety and Health management.
    • Conduct periodic safety audit, risk assessments, and loss control surveys at sites for hazards/risks.
    • Conducts accident investigations with Safety Committee members on near misses accidents, dangerous occurrences, and occupational health problems occurred at the workplace.
    • Conducts specialized technical field inspections and investigations to determine compliance with relevant environmental health laws and regulations; provides current information on requirements of applicable environmental health laws and to discuss correction of deficiencies to obtain compliance.
    • Responsible for the first line of approval of all proposals of introduction of new equipment, chemicals, layout changes and similar matters involving safety issues.
    • Complies with environment, security, health and safety requirements.

Qualifications

  • Requirement

    - Education Background: Bachelor degree or above in related field
    - Experience: At least 3 to 5 years of related working experience
    - Registered Safety & Health Officer with DOSH would be an advantage.
    - Related engineering experience as well as strong practical knowledge in environmental control, safety practice, preventive measures, industrial hygiene on DOSH, OSHA & ISO 45000 Occupational Safety & Health Management System.
    - Ability to lead and organize the EHS training activities.
