  • Job Description

    - Report to Strategic Insight Manager
    - Liaise Parties (External) : 3rd party research agency
    - Responsible for extracting, analyzing, and interpreting quantitative and qualitative data from primary and secondary data sources
    - Provide reporting, analysis and consumer insights/ information strategic market information and analysis with business implications/recommendations to support effective and efficient business decisions, including the following:
    - Macro-environment Impact & Analysis
    - Performance Report
    - Tracker Report Analysis
    - Consumer Profile and Brand-Switching Analysis
    - Product Performance Dashboard
    - Any ad hoc analysis when business needs arise
    - Continuously work with direct superior on improving the current reporting to be more comprehensive and user friendly

    - Involve in consulting with internal clients to assist them in defining research needs and developing appropriate methodology
    - Assist with executing and managing both qualitative and quantitative consumer research projects, including working closely with research agencies to implement research projects that would lead to consumer-centric, actionable and value added insights, including:
    - Preparation of research brief
    - Managing the research agencies on project time line, questionnaire development and translation, monitoring project progress by attending all pre-field work briefing and frequent field observation
    - Performing qualitative and quantitative data analysis and the delivery of actionable insights
    - Analysis and preparation of research report through Excecutive and Management Summary
    - Support SI Manager on periodic business updates and annual strategic planning (ASP) process including presentation preparation, trend analysis and future forecasting during each planning cycle. Provide support to SI Manager in working on volume forecast and scenario planning, as well as the preparation of presentation deck for management's review and presentation
    - Foster a learning culture within Marketing & Sales function to keep the team updated with trends related to macro-environment, FMCG and tobacco industry, competitors, customers, consumers, channels and retail environment
    - Implement knowledge-sharing initiatives within Marketing & Sales function to establish high quality knowledge and insights management, including content development and editing for internal magazines and bulletin, workshops etc.

Qualifications

  • Requirement

    - Language : Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Good in business or editorial writing, knowledge in Chinese is an added advantage
    - Education Background : University Degree
    - Experience :
    - Minimum 3 years of working experience as an analyst
    - Preferably in a related analyst position with tobacco (or other FMCG) related research / analyst experience
    - Candidate from Research Agency will be good
    - Skills : Good knowledge of SPSS, Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically in Excel and Powerpoint
    - Certification : N/A
    - Age : 28 ~ 35
    - Others : N/A

    - Contractual Bonus : 2.5 months / annum
    - Cigarette Allowance : RM 150 / month

    - Variable Bonus (depends on company revenue) :
