  【Job Summary】
  We are seeking a dedicated and proactive SMT Equipment Engineer to join a premier electronics solutions provider. This role is ideal for a hands-on technical professional who thrives in high-tech manufacturing environments, takes pride in minimizing downtime, and is passionate about process excellence. In this position, you will serve as the technical backbone of our Surface Mount Technology (SMT) assembly lines, playing a pivotal role in maintaining peak production performance, driving equipment reliability, and ensuring customer satisfaction through high-quality technical support.
  
  As an SMT Equipment Engineer, your core focus will center on managing the complete lifecycle of advanced SMT machinery. This includes operating, servicing, maintaining, and calibrating sophisticated automated assembly equipment such as solder paste printers, high-speed chip mounters, component placement systems, optical inspection tools, and multi-zone reflow ovens. You will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment operates under optimal conditions to meet strict manufacturing specifications, tight tolerances, and demanding production schedules. When technical bottlenecks or hardware malfunctions arise, your sharp troubleshooting skills and root-cause analysis will be essential in swiftly identifying problems, executing precision repairs, and establishing preventative measures to avoid recurring failures.
  
  Beyond day-to-day maintenance and troubleshooting, you will actively contribute to process optimization and continuous improvement projects. By closely reviewing line output data, yields, defect rates, and cycle times, you will identify opportunities to refine equipment settings, improve solder joint quality, reduce component mispicks, and streamline overall line efficiency. Your insights will directly impact productivity, yield enhancement, and cost control across our manufacturing operations.
  
  Collaboration and technical communication are key to succeeding in this role. You will work side-by-side with cross-functional teams—including manufacturing operators, process engineers, quality assurance specialists, and production supervisors—to address equipment-related challenges promptly. Furthermore, you will act as a trusted technical advisor, delivering structured training programs and technical guidance to internal production staff and key commercial clients. Whether onboarding team members on safe machinery operation or assisting customers with technical queries regarding product execution, your expertise will foster confidence and operational seamlessness across all touchpoints.
  
  Special Assignment & Mobility Structure:
  To ensure you build a deep, end-to-end understanding of our equipment standards, corporate culture, and technical workflows, this position offers a structured multi-phase onboarding layout:
  
  Initial Training Phase (6 Months to 1 Year): Based at our main office in Kuala Lumpur, where you will undertake comprehensive product immersion, machine setup, calibration standards, and operational protocol training under the guidance of senior technical leads.
  
  Regular Assignment Phase: Upon successful completion of your training program, you will transition to your long-term assignment in the Johor Bahru region to lead equipment maintenance operations, client support, and line efficiency programs locally.

  【Key Responsibilities】
  Equipment Operation & Maintenance: Safely operate, calibrate, perform routine preventative maintenance, and execute dynamic repair tasks on full SMT production lines, including screen printers, automated chip mounters, reflow profile ovens, and inspection systems.
  
  Troubleshooting & Root-Cause Analysis: Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic machinery failures efficiently to minimize unplanned production downtime and ensure uninterrupted manufacturing output.
  
  Process Optimization & Yield Improvement: Analyze manufacturing metrics, fine-tune equipment parameters, and implement continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean, Kaizen) to boost overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), throughput, and product quality.
  
  Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with production supervisors, quality control engineers, and maintenance management teams to resolve line disruptions swiftly and maintain safety compliance.
  
  Technical Support & Capability Building: Provide clear technical guidance, operational training, and standard operating procedure (SOP) coaching to line operators, technical technicians, and enterprise clients.
