STR operates alongside Sumbangan Asas Rahmah (SARA), which provides cashless credits for essential groceries at registered retailers such as Mydin, 99 Speedmart, and Lotus’s.


Who Can Apply for STR 2026?

Eligibility for STR 2026 is based on approved applications that pass verification. Recipients fall into three main categories:

1. Households (Isi Rumah)

   • Income ≤ RM2,500

   • Income RM2,501 – RM5,000

   • No age limit

2. Single Applicants (Bujang)

   • Aged 21–59 years, or OKU 19–59 years

   • Income ≤ RM2,500

3. Senior Citizens (Warga Emas) without Spouse

   • Aged 60 years and above

   • Income ≤ RM5,000

2026 STR Payment Phases

STR payments are distributed in four phases. Phase 1 has been completed, and subsequent phases are scheduled as follows:

STR 2026 Payment Amounts

Households ≤ RM2,500

Households RM2,501–RM5,000

 
Single Applicants (Bujang) & Senior Citizens without Spouse

Payments for single applicants are credited through SARA (MyKad credits) instead of direct cash.


How to Receive STR Payments

1. Bank Transfer – For households and senior citizens with bank accounts

2. BSN Cash Withdrawal – For those without bank accounts; present MyKad at any BSN branch

3. SARA Credits (MyKad) – For eligible single applicants; use at registered supermarkets to purchase essentials

How to Check Your STR 2026 Status

• Visit the official MySTR Portal: https://bantuantunai.hasil.gov.my

• Log in using your MyKad number

• Check under “Semakan Status” for eligibility, payout amount, or appeal updates
