  Job Summary:
  • Responsible for implementation of production processes and procedures
  • Leading productivity improvements with project base activities, including new product introduction and manufacturing cell design to reduce waste, improve quality and safety, and reduce operating costs.
  • Manage KPIs and ensure preventative actions are taken to maximise success.
  
  Duties/Responsibilities:
  1. Built Of Material Control, 4M Change Control
  2. Contact personnel with customer in regard to new product introduction
  • Attend various meetings and action/communicate instructions
  • Produce written reports and make presentations
  3. Circuit Drawing, Manufacturing drawing control
  4. Chair Meeting for 4M Meetings
  5. Identify manufacturing needs for new products in development
  6. Ensure all product and system requirements are taken into account from the initial product conception to the finished result (Prototype to mass production)
  7. Assist with shop floor layout and cell designs
  8. Generating production documentation such as assembly instructions
  9. Reduce variability in manufacturing by providing standard work methods and work instructions
  10. Improve manufacturing efficiency by analysing and planning work flow, space requirements and equipment layout
  11. Remove waste from the processes
  12. Support and lead continuous improvement, problem solving and process improvement activities
  13. Carry out FMEAs, (Failure Mode Effects Analysis) process documentation and implement improvements
  14. Poka Yoke (error proofing) where possible to prevent errors
  15. Keep up with current and developing engineering trends
  16. Undertake special projects as required
  17. Write reports and present progress at project meetings and to clients
  18. Manage the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
