  • Job Description

    • Operation, documentation, enhancement, and optimization of the IT infrastructure in close cooperation with our network team in Europe.
    • Installation and administration of Linux / Microsoft based desktop and server operating systems, virtualization solutions, various server services (database systems, network load balancing, terminal service, etc.) as well as office and other management applications.
    • Permanent optimization and enhancement of our IT-Service processes.
    • Perform daily check of VMs backups. Restore entire VM or specific files as per required.
    • Internal IT support for our employees in Singapore, Penang, and Shanghai.
    • Work with senior system administrator to plan out yearly IT Financial Budget.
    • Require travelling onsite (Singapore / China) when necessary for IT internal projects such as infrastructure hardware enhancements / upgrades, branch offices network equipment setup and configuration, etc.
    • Install and configure MES Camstar application when required by development team.
    • Install and configure Oracle database 12c, 18c, and Microsoft SQL Server to link to MES Camstar application.
    • Release any blocked emails from external users especially emails from customers.
    • Troubleshoot office LAN and wifi network, firewall, router, switches.
    • Create and manage users’ mailboxes, email distribution groups.
    • Perform Windows Security patches updates in all Windows Server & VMs.
    • Provision test VMs for developer to perform software testing purposes.

Qualifications

  • Requirement

    - Education Background : •Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or related fields.
    - At least 2 to 3 years of experience working in IT Infrastructure or Information Technology department, system administration, server administration, virtualization, network, PC deployment, network troubleshooting, Exchange server
    - Skills:
    > Knowledge of common server, client, virtualization and network technologies and the willingness to continuously develop them.
    > Knowledge of some of the scripting languages required for administration (e.g., Bash, PowerShell)
    > Additional knowledge in the areas of high availability, clustering, security tools is an advantage.
    > Additional basic knowledge in Linux command line is an added advantage, but not necessary.
    > Good written and spoken English and Mandarin.
    > Hands-on experience in setup and troubleshoot Windows 10.
    > Knowledge in managing and administering Windows Server platform.
    > Knowledge in managing and administering virtualization platform such as VMware or Hyper-V.
    > Additional knowledge in Active Directory is an advantage.
    > Familiar with network and switches troubleshooting, configuration, setup.
    > Have knowledge in database setup and configuration (Oracle & Microsoft SQL Server).
    > Have experience in setting up Exchange Server, manage Microsoft 365.
