• Job Description

  
  • Identify potential product to be imported in the category mainly from Japan or other countries.
  • Planning product ranges and preparing sales and stock plans
  • Product Analyzing sales figures, trends and regional variations
  • Planning budgets and presenting sales forecasts to managers
  • Liaising with buyers, analysts, stores, suppliers and distributors
  • Negotiating prices and orders with suppliers, and agreeing delivery terms
  • Tracking the delivery of stock, ensuring goods arrive on time and meet quality standards
  • Product Quality Test and Control
  • Factory visit, visiting suppliers and negotiating prices
  • Prepare monthly promotion plan - weekly highlight items, advertisement, thematic event, etc.
  • Keep abreast of current merchandise trend on customer needs and wants as well as competitor performance on each category of products.
  • Sourcing of best quality merchandises locally and overseas at the best price to ensure best profit margin gains.
  • Yearly Promotion / Monthly Promotion / Weekly Promotion planning based on customer behavior.
  • Achieve Sales and Gross Profit and review performances.
  • Controlling of Price Alteration, monitoring of stock turnover level.
  • Decide on merchandise layout, Schematic Plan and display of store.
  • Competitor survey on merchandises, assortment, pricing, layout display and promotion activities.
  • Frequent review, evaluate, decide and select new supplier-including visits to manufacturers, credit term, rebates, contribution and joint promotion.
  • Travel overseas for sourcing.
  
  OTHER DUTIES
  • To provide merchandises for store without nil-delivery on time
  • To attend and do presentation regarding proposal, review and planning as monthly basis
  • To manage the compliance in own group
  • To standardize and localize assortment, schematic plan, display way, information flow due to enhance productivity accelerate expansions
  • To control other basic rule ( supplier contact, rebate management, master registration, communication tool and other SOP
  
  Their main suppliers are all in Japan but some in Thailand, China and Taiwan as well.
  Required to communicate all the time with Japan side (in Japanese) through email or phone.
  
  Also they propose and develop original products such as halal food in Malaysia.
  Halal food made in Malaysia will be export to Japan and other countries.
  1 time business trip to Japan every year to attend the big exhibition.
